The movie follows the adventures of Cheech (Cheech Marin) and Chong (Tommy Chong) as they embark on a journey to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado to attend the famous "Hemp Fest" music festival. Along the way, they get into various misadventures, including run-ins with the police, a groupie who becomes their friend, and a van that they use to travel.
