José José was born on November 16, 1950, in Mexico City, Mexico. He began his music career in the 1970s, initially performing in local bars and clubs. His big break came in 1977 with the release of his debut album, "Jose Jose", which spawned the hit single "El Amor de Mi Vida". Throughout his career, José José released 36 studio albums, 10 live albums, and numerous compilations, selling over 100 million records worldwide.
