"Hacksaw Ridge" is based on the true story of Desmond Doss, a conscientious objector who becomes a medic during World War II. Despite facing skepticism and bullying from his fellow soldiers, Doss remains committed to his faith and refuses to carry a weapon. His bravery and selflessness ultimately lead to him saving the lives of numerous soldiers during the Battle of Okinawa.
