The movie revolves around the story of Om Prakash Makhija (played by Shah Rukh Khan), a struggling actor who dreams of becoming a superstar. Years after his supposed death, Om reincarnates as a TV reporter and sets out to expose the truth behind the death of his former co-star, actress Nisha (played by Kiron Kher).
