As Padayappa tries to win Maha's heart, he faces opposition from a series of comedic characters, including a greedy police officer (played by Sivaji Ganesan) and a group of bumbling thugs. The movie follows Padayappa's hilarious attempts to balance his life as a don and his love for Maha.
