Platinum’s narrative expands the Diamond/Pearl storyline by elevating Giratina and the Distortion World to central roles: Giratina, a legendary embodiment of antimatter and balance, intervenes when the fabric of reality warps under Team Galactic’s leader, Cyrus, who seeks to remake existence devoid of emotion.
