The Shawshank Redemption tells the story of Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a successful banker who is wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary. Despite the harsh realities of prison life, Andy forms an unlikely friendship with fellow inmate Red (Morgan Freeman), and finds a way to survive and ultimately escape.
