The film picks up where the previous installment left off, with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and her allies on a mission to infiltrate the oppressive Capitol's stronghold. Their goal is to assassinate President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and end the war. Along the way, Katniss and her friends, including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), and other members of the rebellion, face numerous challenges and dangers.
