The typical, legitimate process for updating a license includes logging into the vendor’s account portal, obtaining the current key or subscription token, and pasting it into the application’s activation interface or using an in-app “Restore License” or “Sign In” feature. For subscription-based models, the update may be automatic if the application checks the vendor’s servers and detects an active subscription tied to the user account.
